Adaptive BREEDING for Better FORESTs, in short B4EST, is a European Project focussing on forest breeding for productive, sustainable and resilient forests under climate change. Forests are more vulnerable to damage and disease because of climate change, causing economic, environmental and social losses. B4EST Project aims to increase forest survival, health, resilience and productivity under climate change. Furthermore, B4EST will provide forest tree breeders, forest owners, managers and policy makers better scientific knowledge for increasing forest resilience, health and productivity.
